I passed my resit (with a flabbergasting 19 out of 20 - didn't expect that one), so I'm going through to my third year! Wheeeeeeeeeeee :D

Now I just have to figure out if I want to do game design or illustration as my extension course, which is a bit difficult since noone wants to tell me what they will include. At least not until the introduction day, which is the same day they shove a form under your nose going 'DECIDE NOW!', and I tend to need more than 5 minutes to make decisions that will, y'know, affect the rest of my year and possibly my career after oO

Decided to try out environment composition and colourscheme before I tackle the lineart. It lacks a certain je ne sais quoi... maybe it needs a bluish undertone to counter all the green? I just don't want to overdo the colours as I'm trying to tie everything together... Argh! Stuff like this makes me realise what a hack I am - pretending to do art while actually just slacking and being lazy XD

So they made a movie outta Going Postal, and I saw it the other day. I'm sort of mixed on it, it's great eye-candy, but Moist was horridly miscast and the changes they made to the story sort of made me cringe.
Stanley was seven shades of awesome tho. I was an instant movie!Stanley fan. I think he and Adora should've run off together and go and liberate the oppressed peas of Howondaland, or something.
And oh my god, Vetinari. Even tho the guy playing him is a blonde (redhead? seemed hints of it in the beard) this is by far my favourite Vetinari. He had him down fantastically well. I know Terry Pratchett doesn't overdo the descriptions (which I'm fine with), but I sort of have Paul Kidby's (black-haired) version as my mental Vetinari. But hell, the characterisation was so perfect it didn't even bug me.
And Adora was brilliant as well. So was Angua, I loved how on edge she was. I'm not gonna talk about the golem cgi, cause I'm guessing Sky doesn't have a sky-high budget (sorry, couldn't resist) and I'm already just very thankful they're doing these adaptations in the first place. And oh sweet gods David Suchet as Reacher Gilt! He was magnificent!

Yeah basically the only character I was unsatisfied with was Moist. Bit of a pity he's the lead -_-

Reworked the pose and gasmask. Tried to make it all look heavier and more predator-ey.

- Shoulders angled forward and moved head forward --> more hunched over
- Different hip angle, moved feet back and angled knees upwards --> he actually 'sits' now rather than uncomfortably squatting or in middle of froghop
- Fixed back foot which was flat on ground resulting in broken ankle if this was real life biology... ow
- Larger head and hands --> bulkier appearance
- Tinkered with gasmask but gave it up as a bad job as a) I don't really understand the way they work/look and b) Hyshi's refs were from the front and mine are three quarter which means I had to make it up as I go along, and I'm just not as good at drawing gasmasks as he is :p
- Fixed hand positioning and looks, now with bonus added knuckles!

So as people might have noticed I only really draw women. This is because the male anatomy confuzzles me, drawing-wise, and I frankly feel like a perv drawing nekkid menz. Also women are easy as you can kinda cheat and go 'curve heeeere and another theeere and who cares if it's not correct cuz it's curvy'.

Men are difficult.

So in order to get over my art sexism, I've decided May is gonna be Male Character Month, in which I draw nothing but men or boys.
